Hand over your flesh, and a new world awaits you...
I made this about a month ago but just realized I never put it here. Fallout 3 is probably the best game I’ve played since GTAIV came out. I’ve put over 120 hours into the game and I still want to play it.
So I had the idea the following video while playing this particular part of the game’s story called Tranquility Lane. It’s basically The Matrix inside of the Fallout setting. The game takes place in a post-apocalyptic Washington D.C., and this part of the game is essentially a virtual reality environment. Since the game carries a ’50s-esque feel to it the system is in black & white.
Finally! My Samus model COMPLETE!! MMUUWAAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
I...am honestly not sure where to start this article. It simply amazes me that anyone could be shocked by this news. I mean, I could have never imagined feeling the effects of a world-wide recession in a bullet proof game industry!!!
Come on, seriously? OK everyone, let’s travel back in time a little bit to the good ol’ 80s. You guys ready?! HERE WE GO!!!
An area of the convention is dedicated specifically to field research for medical and...(military?) applications. The use of interactive media (I guess for lack of a better term from the developers) has become more popular in the recent years. Military sims and medical hand-eye coordination have been some of the key players. Here’s what some folks from UCF have on display:
Orlando’s gaming festival is being held at the Orlando Science Center, a cool place all it’s own even without the convention. Four gigantic levels of a gaming nerd’s wet dream: a plethora of HDTVs with consoles lighting up the screen, a giant stage for the Rock Band junkies, simulators left and right, and all the facets of our friends and presenters from Full Sail.
OK, I gotta pat myself on the back for this one. This model is looking bad-ass. I’m loving how the textures are looking all retro-y (before you ask, yes, it’s supposed to look that way!). I ended up getting the model down to 496 polygons, but I can’t remember where I gave or took a few and ended up with 502. I’m happy with that! I am uber pumped for how this one’s gonna turn out!
Guess who has press passes to Orlando’s own gaming convention!
