@Todd
I practiced the liquid treatment for a while too at first, but never took it as far as to get DUIs or pay for women...haha good luck to them!

Antidepressants SHOULD be prescribed as a VERY temporary and short-term solution to help you keep you shit straight, but the underlying problem in America is that people are straight up over-prescribed. At one point I was prescribed FIVE different meds, none of which seemed to help me feel like anything other than an incontinent zombie. So you try more, and more, and more, and even though it may not be an "addiction", your body does develop a dependency through physical withdrawal.

In the rare case that ADs are used/prescribed properly, I'm all for it. The bottom line is that doctors just aren't looking out for your best interests. Had mine told me that everything really was OK and booted me over to a therapist or counselor, he could've spared me the 3 years of suck.

@Tizzicle
It took me a minute to figure out the second line of your comment, HAHA! Of course you can hang out with my girlfriend while I hang with the chick who doesn't care about my girlfriend that's actually her. It would be like an LSD experience!

I like your style. I found this particularly interesting: "The number one side effect of antidepressants is “increased thoughts of suicide.” HOW CAN THIS BE?!"

Hey ... while you're out with the chick who doesn't care if you have a girlfriend, do you mind if I hang with your girlfriend?

Brave post. I disagree with with your position that antidepressants an evil, pharma-corporate plot. Some of my friends have treated divorce with alchohol and loose women. The side effects included DUIs, STDs and other acronyms. Sounds like antidepressants might have been a reasonable, short term strategy. Congrats on your return to the drivers seat.
