I feel the need to comment, not to point out that you are wrong, but to provide a different point of view on this game. From hearing your reactions as you played this game, I could tell you were having and absolutely terrible experience. The glitches, while some amusing, sounded downright frustrating. I would have stopped playing long before you did.

That said, I encountered a completely different experience. I played what I would consider to be a 3.5-4/5 game. I had a pretty good play through (up until the end). I'll offer a counter experience to some of your points though, just so readers can see a different perspective.

Glitches: Luckily, I encountered only one or two things I would call glitches. One of them being shop and game NPCs completely disappearing in two Mexico cities for a strange amount of time. The other, I completely forgot, but I think I mentioned to you before. It wasn't terribly game breaking though. I have no idea what was going on with your game having nonstop glitches and bugs. The two other people I know that played through the game had very few glitches, if any at all. I can't help but wonder what is wrong with your copy of the game or your Xbox; it's a shame you had to go through it all.

Dialog: I actually thought that one of the best parts of the game is that a majority of the story dialog took place during "actions" rather than standard cut-scene type encounters. I can't say I ever had an issue understanding people while riding though... just ride with them and hold the A button to keep in pace. If you run off, of course they're going to get low in the mix. I do admit, the audio got MUCH better after getting a surround sound system. It became a bit easier to listen to the dialog once everything was separated out into the proper channels.

Randomly Failed Missions: This did happen to me a few times... but I understood why it was happening and it wasn't totally random. When you are wandering around, occasionally you will get near an NPC requesting help (stolen horse, being robbed, etc). Sometimes a blip appears on your map and you just keep riding because you don't see it, or don't care. After a set amount of time, the side-mission opportunity will run out and you will "fail the mission". This is poor implementation on Rockstar's part because it is really a temporary annoyance worth a few points rather than a full blown mission. You may not have initiated the mission, but you had an opportunity to get involved. They shouldn't be showing a failed mission unless you actually get involved. It annoyed me a few times, but nothing more than that. Most of the time I could turn around or look at the map and see where the mission was that I supposedly failed (that I didn't remotely care about anyways).

I may sound like I'm trying to defend the game, but I'm really not (in fact I have quite a few issues with the game myself). I just wanted to share that I had a different experience in regards to some of your key issues with the game. Perhaps if I get a little more I'll post up a mini-review of the game. I really did have quite an enjoyable experience overall, it's a shame you couldn't share that experience.
