After a good half hour blow-job with margarita-ridden breath I finally got the SNES working. Some combination of me switching out the A/V cables, playing with the power cord, and cartridge friction action finally got me a picture on screen. It worked about 50% of the time, but that 50% got me far enough into Super Metroid‘s Norfair until the screen suddenly went blank. :-( And of course, since I don’t usually save in the game (because it takes no time at all for me to actually beat it) I’ll have to give it another go some other time.

Anyway, Nintendo’s masterpiece console will soon be a fully functioning member of the family!

  • You could definitely see your enitushasm within the work you write. The sector hopes for even more passionate writers such as you who aren’t afraid to mention how they believe. At all times follow your heart. A second wife is hateful to the children of the first a viper is not more hateful. by Euripides.

  • Since early 2007 when I started work on our Metroid Prime 2 guide I’ve been wrikong on the site almost non-stop right up to the release of Metroid: Other M. Since finishing our coverage of Other M last year, I’ve been completely burned out from the past 4 years of maintaining the site at that rate. Now that I’ve covered everything I originally intended for the site, and with no new Metroid games officially announced for the near future, I figured it’s time for a break. The amount of time and effort taken to bring the site to what you see now has taken its toll, and I need some R&R.

  • you said blow-job.

We have two working SNES consoles in the house... and I actually think a Super Metroid cart is sitting in both of them.

Speak your mind!
