LEGO Sopwith Camel time lapse build

I picked up the new Sopwith Camel model from LEGO about two weeks ago and spent a Friday night hammering away at it. I knew it wouldn’t be a long build so I recorded myself putting it together thinking I could make this video and enjoy the experience later as well as share it with others. Enjoy!

This is easily the most gratifying LEGO set I’ve ever put together. There’s just enough pieces to keep you occupied but not take forever, and it’s really fun to see the functionality come together in the end. I think knowing I’d being doing a time lapse later also help. 😉

The 883 piece set took about 3.5 hours to build. The video took about as much time to edit and compile. You can pick up the Sopwith Camel directly from LEGO here.

Fallout 3 Video: Toilet Water Makes You Strong!!!1!

I made this about a month ago but just realized I never put it here. Fallout 3 is probably the best game I’ve played since GTAIV came out. I’ve put over 120 hours into the game and I still want to play it.

So I had the idea the following video while playing this particular part of the game’s story called Tranquility Lane. It’s basically The Matrix inside of the Fallout setting. The game takes place in a post-apocalyptic Washington D.C., and this part of the game is essentially a virtual reality environment. Since the game carries a ’50s-esque feel to it the system is in black & white.

The game allows you to drink from any water source to replenish your health; yes, even toilets. I wanted to see what my character looked like while in this area, and ended up taking a drink from this lady’s commode. Yeah, didn’t know he actually bent down to take a sip. I had to capture it. Enjoy!

Someone get a bucket and clean up this fail!

People that operate guns that don’t know how to operate guns just crack me up. This is probably the best compilation video I’ve seen of all the greatest clips of firearms owning people and shattering their reality. The guy at :23 gets put in his place, and the dood at :32 with what looks like a prank disintegrating .44 magnum. Awesome show!

In all seriousness, I totally understand the zone an incident like this would put you in, being the victim of my dad loading up a Colt Python with five .38s and a surprise .357 Magnum. That was definitely a blast of noise and gunpowder to the face I wasn’t expecting. Fail. 🙁

More video capture fun

Had to make the switch today from the Saturn to my 360 to record some ideas I had for GTA IV.

Niko & Kate – So happy together
I found out late last night from Tor that there is this swingset in Broker that is glitchy. After messing with it for about three hours at 2 in the morning I kinda started to think there is something about it that was purposely put there. Either way, the Firefly Projects’ playground has a new meaning. This is a short about Niko’s dying love for Kate, so much so that he….literally wants to die with her…I guess.

Video capture rocks my socks

I have no idea why, but I’ve never messed around with this stuff at all. Tonight I vigorously tried to figure out how the video inputs on the front of the DreamBox worked, and finally had some success. I hooked up my Sega Saturn and went at some of the classic 3D orb collecting in NiGHTS, and recorded this test video:
